The One Piece Beach Day!!!

O what a fun day. My friend Vanessa was having a birthday and someone had a great idea to get neon one piece swim suits and have a beach day for her birthday. The hunt was on in this small Mexican town where it is hard to find sandals let alone a neon swim suit. We started searching stores till we found one that had some old stuff in the back that they could never sell and low and behold our neon swim suits. O it was on we were so stoked all except Vanessa she was a little shy but we would not take no for an answer. The next morning was Vanessa birthday so to make it special we got some donuts put candy and candles on them for her cake and a case of liquid encouragement (a case of beer). We were off to the beach and because it was so close to Christmas the beach was packed. We get to the beach and strip down to our fabulous swim suits and by the time our clothes hit the sand we had about 30 beach boys (locals) hooting hollering and the endless whistles attracting the entire beach to see what was going on. We had people taking photos from a far, staring, and some I am sure secretly wishing they could pull off the one piece lol.
Happy Birthday Vanessa!!!

The Wedding

My big brother Erik just tide the knot in November and I was just looking at the photos and thought you might like to see the other side of me. The side away from the beach no surfboard in hand and no sunscreen smeared all over my face basically land locked. It was all good I was able to hang out with the whole family myself and my little sister Amber were in the wedding so we got our fingers on the bubbly a little early meaning I do not remember the details of the entire night but you can tell in the photos that we
were having a blast.
Congratulations Brother

Ranch O' Fun

The first thing I think of when I here the word "Ranch" is country music and rodeo's...The last thing that comes to mind is "Nicole". So as she begins to explain her stay at home which suprisingly is an hour away from any known surf break, the visualization takes form. Country style shirts with a rustic hue, tight blue wranglers, old skate shoes(lets just be realistic, it's Nicole)and finishing the ensemble a strand of wheat lightly placed on her bottom lip. Although it gets better just wait, so where would you see a dog, pig, goat and cats all playing together? Well...Nicoles Ranch. It all seems so grand, even the sun seems to set with a perfect blanket of peace, bringing each day to a subtle relaxing end.Ah*sigh*haha well lets put some fun, light hearted truth into the situation;
1. living with Mom
2. No nearby surf break
3. last but not least there is Alot...of...Poo!

The horses poo, the goats, the pigs, the dog and the cats, all in all that is a whole lot of poo. So as much fun as the experience is, Nicole gets to save money by living at home. This then allows her to get up and travel the world, so all in all, it's worth the poo shoveling.

Montauk

A little hamlet on the shores of Long Island, New York offered an awesome opportunity to check the surf scene. Potential for a music and film tour surfaced with growing hype due to the local talent. This would include a film by Cat Slatinsky presenting women surfers. Keeping fingers crossed, this tour may start up in the following year.
This particular trip the girls worked with Kristy Murphy Surf Tours holding a women’s weekend clinic that was a blast. Nicole and the girls had so much fun they are planning to make it an annual trip.

Manhatten

New York city and its bright lights had a very welcoming appeal before the surf clinic started. Not much time to take all the sights in, but knowing Nicole…she can makea lot out of nothing. Genevive a good friend who happens to live in Manhatten decided to take Nicole under her wing of good times. Taking the Hampton Jitney (A bus service which runs from Long Island to Manhatten)to a weekend of wonder ment and awe...or drinking. Well regardless from the constant bar to bar hopping was medication for this traveling soul. The basic version of the trip, was that Nicole briefly tamed the her surfing spirit, while meeting some great new people. Although is never to shy to get out and check the local night life. All in all another trip well spent.

I never have the time to keep my blog current and with all the travels I don’t always have internet access this is why I had Carl step in. Carl is a good friend that I talk to weekly I tell him about all my travels and adventures then he likes to write about them and they eventually end up here.
